SPRINGFIELD-Willie B. Whitlock, Sr., 78, died January 2, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. Born on October 28, 1934 in Danville, VA to the late Willie and Pattie (Kirby) Whitlock, he raced at Riverside Speedway and enjoyed bowling and fishing. Predeceased by his parents, daughter, Michelle and sister, Anna Whitlock, he leaves his wife, Mary (Goode) Whitlock of Springfield, MA; sons: Willie Whitlock, Jr. and Donald Whitlock of Springfield, MA; daughters: Linda Woods (Stevie) of Springfield, MA, Lisa Troy of Atlanta, GA and Kimberly Johnson of Springfield, MA; brothers: Jefferson Whitlock of Danville, VA and Moses Whitlock of Springfield, MA; sisters: Wynonie Penick of South Boston, VA and Alice Kirby of Danville, VA; 16 grandchildren; two great grandchildren and sisters and brothers-in-law. The funeral for Mr. Whitlock will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill St., Springfield, MA with a visiting hour from 10:00-11:00AM.
