Willie B. Walter, Sr.

SPRINGFIELD-Willie B. Walter, Sr., 83, died on September 15, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 27, 1928 in Maxey’s, GA to the late Plunk and Sally (Barrow) Robinson, he had worked for many years at Uniroyal Tire and Baystate Gas. Predeceased by his parents, wife, Mary (Mitchell) Walter, four brothers, three sons and two daughters, he is survived by his sons: Willie Jr. and Anthony; daughters: Yvette, Joan and Patricia; brothers: Charlie and James (Louella); sister: Lucy, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. His funeral will be held on Thursday, September 22 at 12:00 PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill St., Springfield. A wake will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial will be in Harmonia Cemetery in Maxey’s GA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
