Springfield – Willie B. Walter, Jr., 69, passed away at home on November 21, 2018.
He was born in Maxeys, Georgia on September 19, 1949, a son of the late Willie B. Walter, Sr. and Mary Jean (Mitchell) Walter.
He operated his own painting business for many years in the Springfield area and loved to work on his truck.
He is survived by his wife Betty (Hill) Walter, his son, Markeno Walter and his wife Jeannette of Arizona, his brother Anthony Walter, sisters, Yvette Grimes, Joan Cropper, and Patricia Walter, and his special aunts Lucy Levalle and Viola Mitchell, and special friend Grace Walter all of Springfield, MA. He also leaves a host of family members and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Stevie Walter, Nelson Walter, and Kenny Walter and two sisters, Eleanor Walter and Ramona Walter.
The wake will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 10 – 11AM with a funeral home service at 11AM officiated by Pastor Deborah James of the Freedom House of God Church at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA.
