William Andrew Walker II, 73, of Springfield, MA, transitioned into eternal life on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Baystate Medical Center, surrounded by the love, prayers, and presence of his devoted family and friends. Born to the late William Andrew Walker, Sr. and the late Mary (Delmonaco) Walker, William—affectionately known to all as Billy—lived a life marked by hard work, generosity, and deep loyalty to the people he loved. A proud graduate of Technical High School in Springfield, Billy discovered early on that his hands and heart were made for building, fixing, and helping. He mastered his trade, earned his plumbing license, and went on to establish Northeast Plumbing and Heating, a business he faithfully operated for 50 years. Through his work, he touched countless homes and families, always offering not just skill, but kindness and integrity. Billy was also a founding member of “The C.R.E.W” (Collectively Recognizing Empowerment Within), a brotherhood of men committed to supporting and empowering one another. This group was a source of joy, strength, and camaraderie for him, and he cherished the lifelong friendships formed there. Outside of work, Billy embraced life with enthusiasm. He loved bowling, fishing, golfing, playing cards, and traveling—simple pleasures that brought him laughter, adventure, and time with the people who mattered most. His presence was steady, warm, and uplifting; he had a way of making everyone around him feel welcomed and valued. He was predeceased by his beloved sister Debra Walker and his grandson Delano Walker, Jr., whom he now joins in eternal rest. Billy leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Regina (Hannah) Walker, who stood faithfully by his side; his sons William Andrew Walker III, Delano Walker (Lutece), Dominick Walker, and Jeremy Jenkins; his daughter Cassandra Wilder; and his stepsons Martin Middleton (Lolita) and Lance Johnson. His legacy continues through his eight grandchildren: Tyoshia Owens-Walker, Dey’Avioun Walker, Dejah Walker, Amier Walker, William Andrew Walker IV, Tykie Walker, Trayvon Walker, and Marquise Walker, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Cassandra Williams (Rev. Stephen) of Springfield, MA; Phyllis Hannah of Las Vegas, NV; and Donna Hannah of Springfield, MA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever hold his memory close. Billy’s life was a testament to love, perseverance, and community. His laughter, his wisdom, and his unwavering devotion to family will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him. Family and friends are invited to attend services for Billy beginning with a viewing on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Grace Community Baptist Church, located inside Foster Memorial Church, 1791 Wilbraham Road, Springfield, MA, concluding with a church service from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. New England Funeral & Cremation Center, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA has been entrusted with the arrangements. Please visit Billy’s memorial page at www.nefcc.net for expressions of sympathy.
