William L. Johnson Jr, age 66, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center.
He was born December 29, 1953 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Josephine (Petroni) and William Johnson, Sr.
He married the love of his life Barbara (Coolidge) Johnson (Jo Jo) in May of 1976.
William was loved and adored by all who came in contact with him. His passions included cars, working outside in the yard and working in any capacity as a first responder. He spent years working for both the Springfield Auxiliary Police Department and as a Deputy Chief for the Forest Park Rangers. He also loved his main profession as head custodian of Suffield Public Schools where he was beloved by the faculty and students alike.
William is survived by his wife Barbara, his sons: Adam and his wife Cheryl, and Eric; his daughter Carrie; brother Fred and his wife Lana, his aunt Mimi and uncle Wayne, uncle Buckey; his nieces Tara, Kayla and Gina; and his cousins Scott and Wayne Jr.
A celebration of his life will be held at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA when the regulations are lifted. Visit www.nefcc.net
