William Richard Jenkins, Jr.

William R. Jenkins Jr, 78, of East Longmeadow passed away peacefully at Baystate Medical Center on August 14, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Billie was predeceased by his parents William R. Jenkins Sr. and Rejeanne (Dupuis) Jenkins and his devoted sister Gail Fiorentino. Billie was a graduate of Technical High School. He was a life long golfer and spent over twenty years as a professional caddie on the LPGA and PGA Tours. Caddying in the 70s and 80s was not the lucrative profession it is today and Billie could hold court for hours relating dozens of experiences on the road in run down cars splitting shady motel rooms with other caddies, and flipping coins to see who got the bed. Some of these tails were X Rated, others were poignant but all were simply hilarious. His sense of humor was legendary. He always joked that if he ever wrote a book its title would have to be “When my ship comes in, I’ll be at the airport.” With all his travels Billie always called himself America’s Guest. While true, he was always eagerly welcomed wherever he went. Billie is survived by his brother and best friend Lawrence Jenkins and his wife Maryann of Yarmouth Port, MA and his nieces Allison Daladier and her husband Matthew of Forestdale, MA, Theresa Fiorentino and her Husband Thomas Nehmer of Wilbraham, MA and Isabella Rondeau and her partner Cameron Ottoson of East Longmeadow, MA.
