Victor D. Mari

Victor D. Mari passed into eternal life on Saturday December 5, 2020 after a long illness.
Victor was the son of Victor J. Mari and Geraldine (Sliwa) Mari.
Vic had many friends and was known to be good natured and helpful to all. His friends included the Johnson family and Joan (McGee) Lindblad. Vic served his country in the United States Coast Guard.
His closest cousins always called him “Dave” to avoid any confusion with his father.
Vic worked for Breck Hair Products in West Springfield for many years followed by employment by Omni Glow, also of West Springfield. Vic was an avid NASCAR race fan. For many years until present he supplied speed parts to car owners and drivers. He owned and operated Finish Line Performance and provided service at local race tracks by stocking parts and selling them at the tracks. Victor loved his Italian heritage as shown by his love of cooking and eating Italian food from recipes that his grandfather Umberto Mari, a chef, used and had been enjoyed by his family. This love of Italian food led him to employment at Michael’s Pasta in the Pan.
Victor leaves his loving wife of 53 years Pat (McGee) Mari and his son Michael Mari. Victor also leaves three step-children: Diane (Dubuque) Gustafson and David, Pamela (Dubuque) Maia and husband Mario, and Tony Dubuque and a grandson Anthony Maia.
