Valeria Marie Kirby

SPRINGFIELD-Valeria Marie Kirby, 62, died April 3, 2012. Born in Troy, NY to the late Joseph and Mary Ellen (Rooney) Kirby, she was a graduate of the High School of Commerce Class of 1966 and enjoyed playing cribbage in her spare time. Predeceased by her son, Colin, and a sister, she leaves her daughters: Patricia Thompson (Michael O’Neil) and Gwendolyn Kirby of Springfield; brothers: John Kirby (Holly) of Agawam and Thomas Kirby of Springfield; sisters: Sharon LePine of NY and Mary Ellen Kirby of West Springfield and a granddaughter, Eve Theresa O’Neil. A gathering is planned for April 7, 2012 from 12:00-3:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus in West Springfield, MA. The Funeral will be on April 17, 2012 at 10:30 AM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill St., Springfield, MA followed by a Scattering Ceremony at Springfield Cemetery.
