Trecetta Lee Hankins, 51, a lifelong resident of Springfield, MA, passed on to glory Tuesday, August 8, 2023. Born in Springfield, and a Culinary Arts graduate of Roger L. Putnam Vocational Technical High School, Trecetta was a Cook Shift Leader for Care One at Redstone in East Longmeadow, MA, a Chef Manager for The American Inn in Southwick, MA, and worked for the Western Massachusetts Training Consortium in South Hadley, MA. She was predeceased by her grandmother, Cora Lee Herbert, and her mother Patricia Beatrice Hankins. Trecetta leaves two children, Maurice Lavon Hankins, 33, and Marcel Lavon Hankins, 29; one sister, Brandy Lee Bennefield of Springfield, MA; four grandchildren: Cyliss Williams, 9, Maverick Lindbloom, 5, Zamir Hankins, 5, and Zylah Hankins, 1; her grandfather, Douglas Herbert and his wife Diane of Easthampton, MA; two aunts, Carlotta Armstead and her husband Steve of Mansfield, MA, and Jacqueline Simmons and her husband Johnnie of Windsor, CT; two uncles, James Hankins and Douglas Herbert both of Springfield, MA; and her first cousin, Janell Morrison and her husband Earl of Windsor, CT. A wake will be held on August 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM, followed by a service at 12:00 PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA.
