West Springfield – Theresa M. (DeLeo) Filippone, 75, beloved wife of the late John Filippone, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.
She was born in Springfield on February 14, 1943, a daughter of the late Dominic and Maria (D’Augustino) DeLeo.
Her family was most important to her and she was a stickler for family traditions. She will be remembered as a hard worker who loved to cook for family and friends and her many trips to Foxwoods.
She is survived by her son John Filippone, daughters, Maria Filippone, Tina Filippone, and Vita Filippone-Sharp all of West Springfield. She will be sadly missed by fourteen grandchildren, ten plus great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Anthony and her sister Rosemary Klundt.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 12 to 2PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
