Theo Jean Heald

EAST LONGMEADOW-Theo Jean Heald, 83, a resident of East Longmeadow for more than 50 years, died Sunday August 19, 2012, after years of declining health. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Robert F. Heald and Theo Ruth Heald, also of East Longmeadow. Ms. Heald held a master’s degree in education from Columbia University. She taught for many years at the MacDuffie School in Springfield, ending her career as head of the History Department. She was also the school’s photographer. She is survived by her sister JoAnn Allen of Red Oak, VA and nephews Thomas Allen of Red Oak and Robert Allen of Beaverton, Oregon.
