Steve Watson passed away at Baystate Medical Center on February 25, 2024, two weeks after turning 59. Steve was sick and suffering for several years before this. Prior to becoming ill, Steve worked as a toolmaker/experimental machinist, and gear maker for over 30 years.
The Steve we all know and love is someone with a huge heart. Steve would give anyone the shirt off his back or a helping hand. He spread smiles and laughs to countless people over the years. Steve was known for being an excellent cook, and loved to cook for his family and friends. His first love and biggest passion was dirtbikes! He also loved animals of all kinds, camping, hiking, motorcycles and spending time outdoors, winter through summer. He loved his family and friends and would do anything to help them. He was especially proud of his brother Paul for serving his country and his deployments in Iraq. Steve’s smile, incredible sense of humor, sweetness, and beautiful blue eyes will be remembered forever. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 11AM – 1PM followed by a service at 1PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA.
