Stanley E. Williams, 87, a resident of the Soldiers’ Home of Holyoke, died on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center.
He retired after forty years at Hamilton Standard in Windsor Locks, CT. He also served as the Captain of the Fire Brigade.
He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
He leaves his wife of sixty-four years Claire (Gingras) Williams of Springfield; his daughter Diane Rhodes and Rene of Chicopee and a granddaughter Melissa Rhodes and Ricky of Uxbridge.
Sadly, he was predeceased by his son Steven in 2011, two brothers, Jack and Lewis; his sister Violet and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone at the Soldiers’ Home for their excellent care and compassion and also thank you to all of the caregivers at the Holyoke and Ludlow Dialysis Centers. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Soldiers’ Home in Holyoke, 110 Cherry Street, Holyoke, MA 01040 in care of the recreation department.
A graveside service will be held at 1PM on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Precious Blood Cemetery in South Hadley. New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
