Stanley D. Obara beloved husband of 27.5 years passed away on January 16, 2022. Stan was born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Stanley is survived by his wife Deborah Obara of many loving happy years. His daughters Melissa and her husband Kevin Wenzel, Amanda and her husband Aj Colon, Eleanor her husband Vinny Demyan, and sons Jeremy Obara, and Kyle Obara.  Also, preceded in death his son David Karbon in 2017. Stanley leaves 11 grandchildren who loved him dearly.

Stanley was a kind, considerate and helpful man. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. He was helpful to many and was a kind soul. He enjoyed his grandchildren and loved TV, SPORTS and MUSIC and loved sharing this with his grandson Michael. Stanley was a fisherman and loved fishing with his sons Jeremy and Kyle. Later, he taught his GRANDSON Michael how to fish. In recent years he went ice fishing with his son in law Vinny.  Ice fishing opened a new way of enjoying a sport he loved. He also, enjoyed visiting his daughter’s dogs diamond and pearl in which they brought happiness to him.

Stanley was an amazing and honorable man. He was loved by so many. Everyone was touched by him in some memorable way. He had a peaceful and calming persona. Everyone loved to be around him. His absence will be painfully felt by many.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 2PM at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA, for a committal service with full military honors. New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA is assisting the family.
