Sonya M. Davis, 51, of Springfield, Massachusetts, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center.
Born on March 13, 1969 in Mount Vernon, NY, she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Listening to music and using her adult coloring books in her free time made her feel like a kid again. She loved traveling and doing different things for fun. A firm believer in God, her favorite saying was “Put it in God’s Hands.”
Predeceased by her father Thomas Davis, she is survived by her son Devon Davis and daughter Asia Davis and their father Anthony Smith and five grandchildren: Sonaiyah Brantley, Lauren Lovejoy, Karlel Jenkins, Daiovion Barry-Reid and Nyasia Badger.
The funeral procession will begin at 10AM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA processing to Oak Grove Cemetery for a graveside service officiated by Elder Sandra Matthews of Holy Ghost Temple.
