Shirley J. (Hodges) Coley, 89, went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2021.
A lifelong Springfield, MA resident, she was born on June 18, 1932, a daughter of the late William and Mary (Lovett) Hodges. She was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School Class of 1949 and was a member of Alden Baptist Church. She was retired from the former Carter’s in Springfield and enjoyed sewing and crossword puzzles in her free time.
She is survived by her children: Ricardo Lyons and Gregory Lyons, both of Springfield, MA, Jarita Andrews of FL and Mona Johnson of Springfield, MA. She also leaves her sister Joan Rhone of Springfield, MA, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA beginning with viewing from 11AM – 11:30AM followed by a service at 11:30AM. The Reverend Dr. Karen Rucks will officiate.
Masks and social distancing are required for all attending the services.
