IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sandra Ann
Sullivan
November 20, 1942 – February 22, 2026
Sandra Ann Sullivan, 83, of Springfield, MA, passed away on February 22, 2026. She was born on November 20, 1942, in Springfield. Sandy was a graduate of Cathedral High School, where she met the love of her life, Dennis J. Sullivan. They married in April 1961 and soon began growing their family. Sandy is the proud mother of Dennis of Montana, Kimberly of Chicopee, Tracy Fay (Kevin) of Springfield, Kerri Mayo (Curt) of Maine, Sheila Cascio (Paul) of Connecticut, and Shane Sullivan of Springfield.
Sandy is so very proud of her grandchildren (and grand dogs), each one being her favorite! Daryll Odierna (Santolo) of Connecticut, Brian Sullivan (Emilee)of Maine, Christopher Fay of Springfield, Benjamin Parks (Skye), Emily Parks of Chicopee, Andrew Cascio of New Hampshire, Jack, Dennis, Evangeline, and Rachel of Connecticut.
Sandy’s great-grandchildren really made her eyes sparkle, Luca of Connecticut, and Anthony and Chloe of Chicopee. She also leaves her beloved brother-in-law, John Sullivan, of Springfield.
Sandy raised her children in Springfield. Once all were in school, she began working as the secretary at the school they all attended, Holy Cross. Sandy then held various positions in retail, making many lifelong friends along the way.
Sandy was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox— watching each game with grandson Andrew even though they were in separate states. Sandy somehow managed to raise a Yankee fan?! Shane. She had a countdown going to opening day, only 32 days to go! She was a voracious reader, often trading books with granddaughter Daryll. She loved making arts and crafts for those she loved and for friends of those she loved. Even at 83, Sandy was always on the go—even in the winter, her favorite season.
Aside from her immediate family, she leaves behind her sister, Donna Gusek, sister-in-law, Donna Sales, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Emilio and Sophie Sales and brothers Anthony and Mark Sales.
A celebration of her beautiful life will be announced at a later date.
New England Funeral & Cremation Center, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA has been entrusted with the arrangements. Please visit Sandy’s memorial page at www.nefcc.net for expressions of sympathy.
