Sandra O. Freeman

Sandra O. (Ransom) Freeman, 79, of Springfield, Massachusetts died Wednesday evening January 26, 2022 surrounded by family at Baystate Medical Center.
Sandra was born in Springfield and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from the High School of Commerce and was a long-term employee at Mass Mutual. She enjoyed taking care of her yard, feeding birds, dining with her friends and family and traveling to her cottage at the Cape to view the scenery and spend time with her best friend, Pamela. She was an avid Patriots fan. She adored her trips to Maine to spend time with her family and friends.
Sandra was predeceased by her beloved husband Lyle, her son, Michael, her parents Melvin and Ona F. (Uchtman) Ransom, siblings Gerald and James and grandmother Ona. She is survived by her daughter Suzanne O. Stucenski and son-in-law David; brother Thomas Ransom and sister-in-law Carol, along with several nieces and nephews, god-daughter Robin Crafts from Cape Cod and longtime friends Patty, John, Pamela and Jerry.
Services for Sandra will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 11AM at Hillcrest Park Cemetery with a repast following the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Sandra’s memory can be made to American Lung Association. New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
