Ruth Martin (Laskey), 85, of West Springfield entered eternal rest surrounded by the love of her daughter and her friends at her side at Bear Mountain, West Springfield, December 31st, 2025.

Born in Melrose Mass, a graduate of Melrose High School, she was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, mother, friend, sister, daughter, Aunt, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was a very outspoken, funny, witty, and oh was she a sassy and spunky individual. She loved playing Keno with her friends, and a frequent guest at the casino. Ruth will be sadly missed by her children John and Penne Martin. She was predeceased by her sons Thomas and James Martin. She also leaves several grandchildren Alex, Jesika, Steven, Michael, Elizabeth and Great Grandchildren Branden, Nathan, Damen and Dawson.

A Commital Service with Military Honors will be held at the Massachussets Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam MA, 01001 on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 3:00PM.
