Russell R. Morgan, 83, beloved husband of Jacqueline (Lemelin) Morgan for sixty-two years, passed away on October 8, 2020.
He was born in Scranton, PA on July 14, 1937, a son of the late Raymond and Rhea (Gill) Morgan.
Russell retired after forty-two years of service at Moore Drop Forge.
He was a lifelong member of the Dante Club, had a passion for racquetball, winning many tournaments, enjoyed bus trips to the casinos, especially Mohegan Sun, loved vacationing in Maine with friends and enjoyed helping his neighbors.
He is survived by his three sons: Russell R. Morgan, Jr. of West Palm Beach, FL, Michael Morgan of Bourne, MA and Ronald Morgan and his partner Paula LaFontaine of West Springfield, MA; brother Hayden Morgan of Reno, NV; his sister Edith Carr of Agawam, MA; five grandchildren: Amy, Jake, Rhea, Emily and Glen Morgan; and two great grandchildren Haylie and Tiago.
He was predeceased by his sister Noma Kirastoulis.
A walk-thru visitation from 10AM – 10:30AM will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA. Masks and social distancing are required. Burial will follow in Agawam Center Cemetery.
