Ronald E. Pervere

Agawam—Ronald E. “Boodie” Pervere, 74, passed away at home on September 1, 2012. Born in Greenfield, MA on October 24, 1937 to the late Francis and Mary (Wojtasiewicz) Pervere, he graduated from Greenfield High School, Williston Academy and Wesleyan University, where he majored in history and finance. He was All Western MA in baseball and basketball and a diehard Red Sox and Patriots fan. He enjoyed golf and movies from the 1940’s and 50’s. He and his wife were seasoned travelers and maintain homes in Feeding Hills, MA and Leander, TX. For many years Mr. Pervere was employed by Baystate Pools Supplies. He leaves his wife, Christine Sokoll-Pervere, step-son Shane Sokoll and his wife, Edna of Austin, TX and their twins, Sophia and Daniel Sokoll and brothers Francis Pervere (Joyce) of West Hartford, CT and Robert Pervere (Marge) of Burleson, TX. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 7, 2012 beginning at 2:00 PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC , 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA . A Celebration of Life service will follow at 4:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery,Turners Falls, MA on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 10:00 AM.
