Roland Lord

SPRINGFIELD – Roland Lord, 89, passed away on January 16, 2017 at Care One at Redstone in East Longmeadow. Born on January 6, 1928 in Springfield, MA to Eugene and Lena (Lavigne) Lord, he was the owner of Platt Loan and Jewelry on Worthington Street in Springfield. Mr. Lord was an avid baseball fan, enjoyed John Wayne movies, the Lighthouse Lounge in Ludlow and traveling to warm places. He leaves his family, his longtime companion Sheryl Gifford of Springfield, Janice Burmeister (John) of Cherry Valley, IL; Steven Gifford of West Springfield, MA; Ethel Lord and Phyllis Phaneuf of Springfield and Rene Lord of FL.
