Roger Alvin Walker

Roger Walker fell asleep in death on January 24, 2025. He was born in Springfield, MA. He was predeceased by his parents Alvin and Patricia Walker and his grandparents Helen and James Thompson. Roger graduated from Technical High School in 1982. Following high school Roger worked as a culinary arts specialist, working at various establishments throughout his life. Roger also enjoyed photography and music. Roger was always the life of the party and his smile could light up a room. He was a social butterfly and leaves behind many dear friends and his special family the Orr’s, along with many relatives in Kentucky and Ohio. He leaves his family: brother Kenneth G. Walker and his wife Victoria of Springfield, MA, sister Nancy Walker of Columbus, OH, nieces Keanna Lumpkin and Shirelle Lumpkin, nephew Dwon(Angela) West, aunt Nancy Thompson Watkins, cousin Wendy (Michael) McDonald, grand-nieces, D'Anya, Knia, Kierra West, Jade Styles, grand-nephews Jamir Eckstein, Jahvion Harvey and god-daughter Kristen Orr Westbrook. A wake will be held on February 5, 2025 from 10-11:30AM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA followed by a funeral service at 11:30AM.
