PALMER- Roger A. Bosworth, 66, passed away at Wingate at Hampden on February 5, 2016. Born in Holyoke on April 10, 1949 to the late Melvin E. Bosworth and Christine A. (Squires) Bosworth, he grew up in Belchertown.
Roger served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He worked as a truck driver most of his life, his most recent employer being Winding Brook in Connecticut. He was retired but still drove part time. He enjoyed fishing and photography in his free time in the company of his dog “Bambi.”
He was predeceased by his wife Marion (Sanford Wetherell) Bosworth. He leaves his daughter Venus Chearhart and her husband Andy of Mancelona, Michigan and two brothers James and his wife Pamela of Stone Mountain Georgia and Walter and his wife Norma of Belchertown. He also leaves numerous step children and step grandchildren, the closest being Jack Wetherell Jr. and his wife Eileen and their children Jordan and Kyle of Palmer.
There will be no services. His wishes were for everyone to raise a glass of cold beer in his memory, and to all the truckers, “He will be 10-10 on the side!” Donations may be made in his honor to the charity of your choice. Cremation was provided by New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill Street, Springfield.
