Rodney L. Orr

Rodney L. Orr, 51, a lifelong Springfield, MA resident, passed away on March 15, 2021.
He was born in Springfield on July 27, 1969, a son of Russell Orr, Sr. of GA and the late Marian (Crawford) Lofton.
He attended Springfield schools, was employed at Stavros for many years and was a member of Grace Community Baptist Church. Rodney was a great basketball player from childhood to adulthood, enjoyed the casinos, going fishing, and most of all, loved his children.
He is survived by his wife Anjanette Wright-Orr, his children: Branden Wright and Jayden Orr, both of Springfield, Chanel Orr of GA and Chraina Orr of Springfield. He also leaves his siblings: Russell Orr, Jr. of GA, and Debbie Moore, Sharon Dioley and Melanie Couser all Springfield, MA. . He will be sadly missed by his grandson Jordan Lindsey; godchildren Mark Seabrooks and Josiah Hobbs and many nieces and nephews. Future granddaughter Maylahni Orr (May 20, 2021) will hear stories about what a good man he was.
Sadly, he was predeceased by his daughter Tikara Orr.
Funeral services for Mr. Orr be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 with a walk-through wake from 11AM-2PM followed by a private service at 12 PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA.
Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery on March 23, 2021 at 12PM.
Masks and social distancing are required.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
