Robert K. Washington

SPRINGFIELD - Robert K. Washington, 63, passed away on February 21, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Springfield, MA on January 11, 1951 to the late Robert James and Eleanor (Bryant) Washington, he was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School and retired from AT&T after 32 years of service. Later he worked as a crossing guard and fulfilled his civic duty by working at the voting polls. Robert loved playing Bid Wiz, Dominos, watching Court TV and was a sports fanatic. He loved listening to Motown, especially his all-time favorite group “The Temptations.” A great friend and loved by many, he leaves his wife Mary (Williams) Washington, children, Christine Johnson (Christopher), Robert Washington, Leah Ford (Reginald) and Calvin Washington, sister, Kathy Denise King (Michael), grandchildren, Robert Brandon, Ashley, Christopher and Cameron, two nieces and one nephew. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 10:15AM until the time of the service at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA.
