SPRINGFIELD-Robert W. “Wayne” Riley, 52, died on February 20, 2011 at his home in the historic Hill McKnight district of Springfield, MA surrounded by those who loved him dearly. He was born in Eagle Lake, ME on April 5, 1958 to Robert and the late Frances (Perreault) Riley and had lived in Springfield since 1981, coming from Hartford, CT where he had been employed for many years in banking for the former Connecticut Bank & Trust. He had worked his way up through the industry, managing credit card departments and repossessions. He had also worked in management for F.L. Roberts. He will be remembered as an unselfish, caring, kind, hard-working, loyal man who enjoyed reading, and was an avid collector of antiques and Cambridge glass. Predeceased by his mother and brother, Kevin Riley, his survivors include his long-time life partner, Raymond W. Talbot of Springfield; his father; his brothers: David Riley of Tucson, AZ, Sean Riley of Sherman Oaks, CA, and Jason Riley of Bath, ME; his sisters: Susan Riley of Tucson, AZ, Terri Riley of Albuquerque, NM and Patricia Riley Smith of Bath, ME; two aunts: Judy Plourde of Eagle Lake, ME and Pamela Vlahos of Terryville, CT; one uncle, Ronald Perreault of Portland, ME; nieces and nephews; a favorite sister-in-law, Susan Roberts-Riley and many friends.
