Robert X. Flanagan, 76, died at home on May 15, 2021.
Born in Holyoke, MA on June 14, 1944 to the late John and Anna (Bresnahan) Flanagan, he was a graduate of Holyoke Catholic High School (Sacred Heart) and the University of Massachusetts and was employed as a counselor. He loved spending time at the beach in Maine.
He leaves the love of his life Susan Jubinville of Easthampton, two sisters-in-law: Ann Morrissey of Northampton and Jean Topolski of Holyoke, nieces: Kathleen McGeer (Timothy), Teresa Lamarre (Clem), Jacqueline Connally, Ann LeBrun (Will), Mary Chase (Donald) and Meghan Shea (Christopher) and nephew Michael Connally (Shelia) and many great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on May 24, 2021 at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA beginning with a walk-thru wake from 9-10:30AM and a limited capacity service at 10:30AM. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Holyoke, MA.
