Robert A. Coache

Robert ‘Bob’ Coache, 91, formerly of Belchertown, MA was called home on Thursday, March 7, 2024. Robert was born at home in Three Rivers, MA on February 8, 1933, one of six children to the late Frederick and Bernice (Sierakowski) Coache. He lived all of his married life in Belchertown, MA and moved to Cumming, Georgia in 2018, where he passed away.

Robert enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid golfer and long-standing member of the Ludlow Country Club in Ludlow, MA, and Mill Valley Country Club in Belchertown, MA where he proudly achieved 3 holes in one. He also loved deep sea and ice fishing and was on a Bowling League and Pitch League for many years.

Robert was a proud Veteran of the US Navy and served 4 years during the Korean War as a Radio Mechanic II. He was a long-standing member of the AMVETS Post 74 in Three Rivers, MA.

He was a graduate of Palmer H.S. and French parochial secondary schools in Three Rivers, MA. Later in life, and while employed, Robert achieved a Dale Carnegie Award of Excellence for Speech. Robert retired after 41 years of employment with International Paper Co, which became Federal Paper Board and then most recently Oak Tree Packaging in Thorndike, MA. He worked as a Product Box Designer, a Purchasing Agent and a Cost Estimator. He also worked part-time evenings and weekends as a TV repairman. He enjoyed both jobs immensely because they allowed him to utilize all of the skills he embodied.

Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife Lorraine F. (Puta) Coache, his beloved son Raymond R. Coache; his brothers, Philip Coache of Ware, MA, Frederick Coache of Three Rivers, MA and David Coache of Three Rivers, MA.
He will be sorely missed by his daughters, Jane Redwood and her husband Keith Redwood Jr. of Rocky Hill, CT, his daughter Lynn Crowfoot of Cumming, GA; grandsons David Weisz and his fiancé Stephanie Catalano of Rockaway Beach, NY and Michael Weisz of Cumming, GA, his brother Stephen Coache of Three Rivers, MA, his sister Anne Marie Chrabacz of Ware, MA, and sister-in-law Helen Coache of Three Rivers, MA. He also leaves behind with great fondness numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held March 16, 2024, at Motyka Funeral Home, 2186 Main Street, Three Rivers, MA, with a viewing beginning at 8:15 AM, proceeding to Divine Mercy Parish, Main Street, Three Rivers, MA for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Burial with military honors will follow at St Anne’s Cemetery, Main Street, Three Rivers, MA. New England Funeral & Cremation Center is entrusted with the arrangements.
