Ritt J. Hicks

Ware-Ritt John Hicks, 56, of Ware, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on Saturday, August 08, 2009 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Ritt was born July 25, 1953 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, to the late Hildreth Hicks. He was a longtime resident of Palmer. He was a talented mechanic and was passionate about his hobbies, including motorcycles and cars.

He leaves his loving wife, Margaret Hicks of Ware; one son, Richard of Ware; two daughters, Tonya of Thornhill, TN and Margaret (Peanut) of Ware; two nephews, Richard and Mark Delisle of Easthampton, as well as “His Boys”: Mario Giordano and his wife Bethany, Stephen Johnson and his wife Sarah, Joshua Paydos and his wife Lynn, Nicholas Paydos and his wife Rebecca, Craig Hall and his wife Amy, Theodore (Teddy) Mendrela and his fiancé Amanda, Donald (Don Don) Derby and his wife Jessie, Kevin Dingman, Anthony Giordano, Donald (DJ) Brooke Jr., Edward Derby, Thomas (TJ) Mendrela Jr., and their families.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 12pm at 18 Walnut Street, Ware, MA 01082. New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC has been entrusted with the arrangements.
