Holyoke--Rin Sim, 93, passed away on October 26, 2012 at Holyoke Health Care in Holyoke, MA.Born in Battambang, Cambodia on May 10, 1919, she lived in Cambodia for many years where she raised her children. She arrived in the United States over 30 years ago.Predeceased by her parents, her husband, Cheoun Cout and a daughter who lived in Australia, she leaves her son, Sorn Sim of Holyoke, MA; her daughter, Rath Thap of Springfield, MA and daughters in Thailand and Cambodia. She also leaves her grandchildren: Bunthany Thap, Bunthy Thap, Elaine Thap, Shakah Oakes, Sarrina Sim, Sidney Sim, Sinna Sim, Paul Sim, Sovanny Sim, Jonah Sim and Peter Sim; her grandchildrens' intended and spouses: Derek Williams, Jaime Thap and Josh Kloss and her great-grandchildren: David Benvenutti, Kiara Benvenutti, Emily Thap, Erika Thap, Brandon Thap and Sasha Thap. The viewing will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 beginning at 1:00 PM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA with a service to follow at 2:00 PM.
