Richard J. Shaw, Jr.

Richard “Rick” J. Shaw Jr., 69, a long-time resident of Monson, Massachusetts passed away on December 9, 2022.
He was born on February 2, 1953 to the late Richard J. Shaw Sr. and surviving mother Shirley Shaw of Waterbury, Connecticut.
Rick served his country in the United States Navy and enjoyed being a heavy equipment mechanic and could often be found working on engines in his garage.  He was a motorcycle enthusiast, loved music, playing the keyboard and singing.  His loved his dogs and spending time with his family.
Rick is survived by his loving wife, Julie Harris, daughters: Melissa Ricco, spouse Joseph V. Ricco of Charlotte, NC, Elizabeth Rioux, spouse Normand Rioux of St Petersburg, FL, Destiny Harriman, spouse Andrew Harriman of Springfield, MA, grandchildren: Joseph N. Ricco, Annabella G. Ricco and Hailey Harriman.  He is also survived by two brothers, Steven Shaw and Thomas Shaw, three sisters, Deborah Sousa, Linda Stevens and Lisa LeBlanc along with many other extended family members.
Sadly, he was predeceased by two brothers, David Shaw and Gary Shaw.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 from 8:30AM-10:30AM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA with a service at 10:30AM. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, 2324 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT.
