Richard C. Shattuck

Richard Shattuck, 68, of Ludlow MA, passed away at Mercy Medical center on the 24th of February 2024. He was born in Simsbury, CT in 1955 to Ronald and Barbara (Chamberlain) Shattuck and was the eldest of five children. Richard dedicated his life to personal caretaking of the elderly. An artist at heart, he spent his free time creating ceramic pottery and leading ceramic classes out of his own home and his ceramics shop to share his love of art with others, until his retirement. As remembered by his loved ones, he was eager to help anyone in need and took pride in caring for others. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his lifelong partner, Richard Comtois. He is survived by four siblings; Daniel, Raymond, Deborah, and Diane as well as his many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many including his dear friend, Carmel Malone, and all at the B.R.C.C where he enjoyed his time in retirement. A private service will be held at a later date.
