Richard Paul Parent

SPRINGFIELD-Richard P. Parent, 53, died September 8, 2013 at home. A lifelong resident, he was born on on January 2, 1960 to the late Chanel and Eleanor (Jalbert) Parent. He was a veteran of the US Army, where he was a recipient of the super jock award. His interests included NASCAR, motorcycles, mountain climbing and kickboxing. Predeceased by his parents and a brother, George Parent, he leaves his companion of 34 years, Susan Gouvan, son, Richard A. Parent and his girlfriend Bridgitte Thibedau, brothers, Chanel Parent (Christine) and Robert Parent (Ann), sister, Marilyn Parent (Edward), grandson, Zachary Parent and his mother Cori all of Springfield, MA, many nieces, nephews, god children, Michael Molinari and Deanna Morrissette and friends. Memorial services will be held on Monday, September 16, 2013 beginning at 10:30AM at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill St., Springfield, MA with a service at 11:30AM.
