Richard C. Handfield

ENFIELD, CT-Richard C. Handfield, 59, died January 17, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. Born in Providence, Rhode Island on December 14, 1953 to Gerard and Claire Handfield, he was a cosmetic carpenter by trade and was self-employed. He had lived in Polk City, Florida for many years, returning to New England and Connecticut twelve years ago. His interests included fishing, enjoying amusement parks and trips to Vermont, New Hampshire and Cape Cod. He will be remembered lovingly for the times he spent with his family. He leaves his wife Orise (Gagnon) Handfield of Enfield, Connecticut; step-son Allan Johnson of Florida and step-daughter Laurie Johnson of Enfield, Connecticut; brothers: Gerard Handfield and his wife, Lori of Rhode Island; Richard Johnson and Joshua Johnson of Enfield, Connecticut, Jordan Handfield of Vernon, Connecticut and nieces: Lisa Lemire and Lori Nowel of Rhode Island.
