Richard R. Curpenski

SPRINGFIELD-Richard R. Curpenski, 69, died suddenly October 19, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Springfield on September 6, 1941 to the late Bernard and Eva (Kulig) Curpenski, Rich was a lifelong area resident who had retired as a business owner of a local Dairy Mart. He was a devoted family man and an avid New England sports fan who also enjoyed watching movies. Predeceased by his brothers, Bernard and Robert Curpenski, he leaves his wife, Carolyn (Moyer) Curpenski, son, Richard Curpenski (Lynn), of Middleboro, MA, daughter, Donna Stevens (Andrew), of Longmeadow, MA, mother-in-law, Rita Moyer, of East Longmeadow, MA, brother-in-law, Edward Moyer (Paula), of OH and grandchildren: Madison, Sydney and Nathan Curpenski and Chloe and Campbell Stevens, Private visitation will be held on October 22, 2010 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill Street, Springfield, Massachusetts with a service to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dakin Animal Shelter, 163 Montague Rd., Leverett, MA 01054-9762.
