REBECCA JANE “BECKY” TOWERS
January 18, 1956 – March 28, 2026
Rebecca Jane “Becky” Towers passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Becky was the daughter of Herbert and Jane (Quinn) Burns. She grew up on what is now Quinn Road in Grasonville, Maryland, surrounded by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Though an only child, Becky shared an especially close bond with her cousin, Roseanne Quinn Bell, who lived next door. The two were inseparable and more like sisters, creating cherished memories together through childhood adventures and family vacations, including trips to Walt Disney World and Ocean City.
At the age of 15, Becky met the love of her life, Tommy Towers. Together they built a beautiful life and shared 47 years of marriage before his passing. Becky was a devoted and proud mother to Michael Keith Towers and Gregory Allan Towers. She raised her family in Cloverfields on Kent Island, Maryland, before later moving to Bridgeville, Delaware, for retirement. Becky worked for many years at H&G Restaurant in Easton, where she was admired and loved by both customers and coworkers.
Becky found her greatest joy in spending time with family and friends. She was known for hosting countless holiday gatherings and lively house parties, especially through her involvement with Pampered Chef and Longaberger. She loved traveling, relaxing at the beach—her beloved “happy place” in Ocean City—and enjoying time by her backyard pool. Becky was truly the heart of every celebration, perhaps most famously through her legendary Christmas baking, where she made 20 varieties of cookies, cakes, and fudge.
Four years ago, Becky moved in with her son Gregory and daughter-in-law Hope, where she treasured every moment spent together. She created countless special memories with her grandsons Edward, David, and Ethan; their girlfriends Alivia, Solimar, and Abby; and her great-grandson Anthony. Becky had recently celebrated her 70th birthday, surrounded by a home filled with family and friends honoring a woman who meant so much to so many.
Becky is survived by her son Gregory and his wife Hope; her grandsons Edward, David, and Ethan; her great-grandson Anthony; her “sister” Roseanne; dear friend Adelle Fuchs; bonus daughter Rachel Jump; and bonus granddaughters Elizabeth and Emily Shagen of Stevensville, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Michael Keith; her beloved husband Tommy; and many dear friends, including Betty Lou Schall, Cindy Turner, and Theresa Thompson.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by New England Funeral & Cremation Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.
There will be a “Celebration of Life Blowout Party," held inWestfield, Massachusetts at a date to be determined. Becky’s only wish was a big celebration of life party in her honor everyone eat, drink, and blow her kisses all day long.
