Springfield-Raymond C. Drapeau. 87, died on December 13, 2012 in Heritage Hall North in Agawam, MA. Born in Winthrop, ME on October 19, 1925 to Albert and Eva (Boutin) Drapeau of Springfield, MA, he had lived in Springfield for over 70 years and was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School Class of 1943.

He proudly served his country during WWII in the US Army Air Forces. He retired as Building Operations Manager for CIGNA Corporation in Wilmington, DE.

He leaves his wife Rena (Brigham) Drapeau; sons: Michael Drapeau (Pam) of Wethersfield, CT and Mark Drapeau and his friend Ruby of Granby, MA; grandsons: Michael Drapeau of NJ and Scott Drapeau of CA; great-grandsons: Alan and Josh Drapeau and his brother Norman Drapeau of Holyoke, MA. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Russell and Roland Drapeau.

The family wishes to thank Heritage Hall North for the excellent care provided to Mr. Drapeau. A procession will form at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill St., Springfield, MA at 12 Noon on Friday, January 4, 2013 and motorcade to the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery for military services.
