WILBRAHAM – Rachel Abigail Mason Farmer, 69, died at home in Wilbraham, MA on Monday, November 2, 2009. Mrs. Farmer was born in Akron, Ohio, the only daughter of Clement and Lois Mason. She was greatly loved by her maternal grandparents, Cemiah and Abigail Emmons and her uncle and aunt, Reginald and Vera Wells. Mrs. Farmer graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Music. She served on the staff of McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA in the department of Music Therapy. She later worked in Retail Management for Bed and Bath Co. She was a skilled quilter and enjoyed several quilting groups. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Longmeadow, MA. She was married to Milton Farmer in 1968 whom was deceased in 2004. She leaves two first cousins: Jane Lawson and her husband Robert of Longmeadow, MA and Victoria Hunt and her husband Marshall of Harwich, MA and her second cousins: John Lawson of Longmeadow, Laura Beck and her husband Eric and their daughters Rachel and Julee of South Hadley, MA, Melinda Master and her husband Ron and their children Oliver and Emily of San Leandro, CA. There will be no visiting hours. A Memorial Service will be held at a date to be determined in Agawam, MA and will be announced at a later date.
