Phoebe Staton

Springfield – Phoebe Staton, 74, died on March 16, 2010 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Bethel, North Carolina the daughter of Robert and Martha (Hopkins) Clemons, Phoebe moved to Springfield in 1960. She worked as a nurses aide in the area, enjoyed arts and crafts and loved spending time with her family. Phoebe was predeceased by her parents, her brothers James and William and her sister Willamenia. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Vernon Staton and his wife Sherri of Chicopee, MA, her daughter Deborah Staton of Springfield, MA and her grandchildren Yolanda Bettis, Antoine Pierce, Phoebe Staton and Aurelia Pierce. The funeral will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010 at 12:00 noon at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA 01108.
