Philip W. Thomas, Jr, 62, passed away suddenly on April 19, 2019 due to complications of an undiagnosed brain tumor.
After graduating from Westfield Vocational High School, he proudly served in the U.S. Army. He continued his service to the community as a police officer for the town of Enfield, CT for 34½ years. It was a job he loved from start to finish.
He leaves his wife of nearly 40 years, Rachel Thomas; his sons, Brian Thomas and Scott Thomas and his grandson, Gabriel Thomas; his mother, Barbara Thomas; two sisters Barbara LeBlanc (Donald) and Shelley Messenger (Ronald); brothers in law, Steven Joffe (Deborah) and Eric Joffe, sister in law, Beth Joffe as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
