Paul G. Schmeichel

BELCHERTOWN-Paul G. Schmeichel died suddenly on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Wing Memorial Hospital in Palmer. He was born on January 10, 1950 to the late Robert W. and Viola Frances (Peter) Schmeichel. A Vietnam War veteran, Paul served his country in the US Navy from 1968 to 1972. He was a handyman by trade who also liked farming, gardening and cooking and was a fan of NASCAR racing. Paul had lived in Belchertown for two years, coming from Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He leaves his step-mother, Jackie Schmeichel, of Conway, New Hampshire; brother, Robert Schmeichel, of Acton, Massachusetts; sister, Ann Schmeichel, of Madrid, Spain; cousins: Calvin Schmeichel, of Saranac Lake, New York and Muriel Riddick, of Fairfax, Virginia and friends and housemates: Lynn Lea, Ron Dagenais and Randy Lambach, all of Belchertown, Massachusetts, along with many other friends.
