August 28, 1932 — December 1, 2019

Paul Brenton MacMahan, age 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 1, 2019 with his loving daughters by his side.  Paul was predeceased in death by his sweetheart, the love of his life, Barbara Mac Mahan.  Paul and Barb were married for 60 years.  Paul was known for his gift of gab and made friends very easily.  Paul welcomed everyone into his life and home and made them feel like family.  Paul loved to cook and he always cooked enough to share. If you came to visit you were fed and got to listen to one of Paul's stories of life on the farm or his adventures working as a salesman for Electronic Fasteners.    Paul had an incredible sense of humor and a quick wit.  Paul was also a gifted artist and loved to do woodworking.  Paul never made one of anything, he made enough for all his family and friends.  Many of his woodworking pieces still adorn family and friends homes during the holiday season.  Paul is survived by his daughter Susan Hearn and her husband Wayne of Feeding Hills, with whom he lived for the past 14 years.  His daughter Cindy Boucher and her husband Shaun of New Ipswich, NH, Steven Mac Mahan of Tewksbury, MA, and a son Paul.  Paul is survived by 6 grandchildren: Steven Hearn and his wife Taryn Hearn of Westminster, MA, Brian Hearn of Springfield, MA, David Hearn of Feeding Hills, MA, Corey Boucher of Milford, NH and Jennifer Boisvert and Melissa Mac Mahan. Paul also had many great grandchildren, the ones that were constant in his life, heart and home are Tyler Lyman, Brian (B2) Hearn, Logan Hearn, Jackson Hearn, Cameron Hearn and Sammy Hearn. Paul was called  "Buppy" by his grandchildren and great grandchildren and because of his welcoming and loving nature he became everyone's Buppy.  At Paul's request there are no services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Paul's favorite charity, one he donated to every month for as long as we've known, is the Shriners Hospital for Children,  if you wish to make a donation in his memory the website is: donate.lovetotherescue.org The family would also like to thank the staff at Care One at Red Stone in East Longmeadow for the compassionate care Paul received there.  New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA has been entrusted with the arrangements.  Visit www.nefcc.net
