Pattie Woods

Pattie (Goodwin) Woods, 64, of Springfield, MA, passed away on September 12, 2021 in Boston, MA.
A daughter of Gertrude G. Cox and the late Orsbie Goodwin, Sr., she was born on August 12, 1957. Pattie was employed as an Assistant Clerk for the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and was a member of the Springfield chapter of the NAACP and Sisters in Motion. She was a devoted member of Springfield Grace Community Baptist Church. Pattie was a loving wife, wonderful mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and a dedicated friend. She was honest, loyal, kind and incredibly generous to everyone in her life. Pattie believed in serving her community and her church. The impact of her selflessness will be felt for generations to come. While she will be deeply missed, her legacy of service will live on through her children and grandchildren.
Predeceased by her father she is survived by her mother Gertrude G. Cox; her husband Andrew L. Woods, Sr; sons: Andrew L. Woods, Jr. and Malachi J. Woods; a daughter Katisha D. Woods-Johnson; brothers: Isiah Ford, Orsbie Goodwin, Jr., and David Goodwin; sisters: Peggy Spencer and Cynthia Cox and six grandchildren: Keshawn Swinton, Diamond Woods, Myles Nixon Johnson, Avarey Woods, Gavyn Nixon Johnson and Malayia Woods all of Springfield, MA.
The funeral service for Pattie Woods will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11AM at New Life Calvary Baptist Church, 981 Wilbraham Road, Springfield, MA.
