Patrick A. Malia

WEST SPRINGFIELD-Patrick A. Malia, 71, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on December 16, 2010. Born in North Bergen, NJ to the late William and Anna (Debretsky) Malia, he was known as a country singer. For many years he worked at Tyco International. He enjoyed making wooden tugboats and collecting trains and coins. Pre deceased by his sister, Margaret, he leaves his wife of 35 years, Debra (Weed) Malia, of West Springfield; children: Patrick, William, Jesse, Melissa, Linda, Eileen and Cynthia; brother: William; sisters: Ellen and Mary; and 11 grandchildren. All services are private and the family has entrusted New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA with the arrangements.
