East Longmeadow – Patricia A. (Kelly) Bowen, 85, passed away at home surrounded by her beloved family on December 9, 2019. She was born in Franklin, MA on January 1, 1934, daughter of the late Patrick and Alice (Landry) Kelly. After finishing school, she was employed at several Boston area banks as a bank manager, mortgage officer and later as a real estate agent. Patricia was a pioneer in the banking world, encouraging and supporting women in a competitive field.
Patricia was a strong, kind, smart, gentle, outgoing lady who always made you smile. She was the best mother a child could want. We will miss her more than words can say.
She is survived by her husband Edmund Bowen, daughter Kathleen Bowen, son in law Sanford Scharmer, son Paul Bowen, daughter in law, Patricia Bowen, and two grandchildren, Dr. Kelly Bowen and Carolyn Bowen.
