Orlando L. Olavarria

AGUADILLA, PUERTO RICO - Orlando L. Olavarria, 71, passed away on March 13, 2015 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 29, 1943 to Israel and Emerita Olavarria, he was a baker for over 40 years at Modern Bakery and B & D Bakery on Main Street in the South End of Springfield, MA. He retired to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. He leaves his wife of 50 years, Herminia Gonzalez de Olavarria of Puerto Rico, daughter Wanda of Puerto Rico, sons Jorge and his partner Berlinda, Danny and his wife Daisy, Victor of Springfield and John of Puerto Rico; sisters Elba and Margarita and brother Hector of Puerto Rico; daughter-in-law Jeri and grandchildren Kendra, Daydan, Christopher and Alicia; and father-figure to Alex and Janet. He was a great man who will be missed by all.Funeral services will be held on March 20, 2015 from 4-7 pm at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA.
