SPRINGFIELD – Orlando C. Harmon, 70, passed away July 13, 2015 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Tallassee, AL on October 30, 1944 to the late James W. Harmon and Luvenia (Frost) Harmon. He was a hard worker and an attentive, devoted father. He worked for many years as a machine operator at Joseph Freedman. He was a member of St. John’s Congregational Church.
He leaves his wife Charlene (Bradley) Harmon of Springfield, sons Orlando C. Harmon II of NJ and James William Harmon of Springfield, grandchildren Kashmin Harmon and Orlando Harmon III, great grandchild Kashmin Harmon II, sisters Deloris Fuller and Pearl Harmon of WV, and Patsy Harmon Bigelow of NC, brother-in-law James B. Bradley II, father-in-law James B. Bradley and mother-in-law Ernestine Bradley, all of Springfield. He was predeceased by two brothers, Tony Harmon and Osby Harmon, one sister, Beulah Harmon and two sisters-in-law, Denise Matejek and Rose Marie Johnson.
The viewing will be held July 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM followed by a 12 NOON funeral service at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA. Burial will be on July 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visit
