LUDLOW-Norma L. Morton, 80, died at home in Ludlow on November 12, 2011. Born in Springfield, MA on May 8, 1931 to Oscar and Erdine (Jones) Korell she had lived in the Hungry Hill of Springfield before moving to Ludlow five years ago. She had been employed as a seamstress at Iron Duck/Fleming Industries. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and pokeno and will be remembered as the “Coupon Queen,” a hobby that she shared with her immediate family. Predeceased by her husband David H. Morton Sr. and her brothers Oscar, Ollie and Eugene, she leaves her children: David Morton Jr. and his wife, Candace, of Ludlow, MA, Bonnie Cote and her husband, Anthony, of Springfield, MA and Susan Morton of Westfield, MA; her sister Eleanor Dudek; grandchildren: Nicole Szarkowski, Mario Morton, Andre Pelletier, Dominic Pelletier and Stephanie Cote; great-grandchildren: Emma, Alexander, Cameron and Taylor and many other family members. The funeral will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2011 beginning at 12 noon at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC 25 Mill Street Springfield, MA with a service at 12:30pm. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery at 2pm. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 16 from 5-8pm.
