Springfield – Nathan Cooper, 65, passed away on February 9, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center.
A lifelong resident, he was born on October 2, 1951, a son of the late Alfred G. Cooper and Ethel (Clark) Cooper of Wilbraham.
He attended local schools and was a 1970 graduate of the High School of Commerce and was previously employed at the former Strathmore Paper Co., Associated Building Wreckers and Jackson Security.
In addition to his mother, he is survived his daughter Latoya Cooper of Springfield, three sisters: Valerie Cooper of NY and Alfreda Hill and Beverly Blake, both of Springfield. He also leaves nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Latoya would like to extend a special thank you to Carolyn Scruggs for always being there to care for Nathan.
Funeral services are Friday, February 17, 2017 at New England Funeral & Cremation Center, LLC, 25 Mill Street, Springfield, MA 01108 with a wake from 11AM – 12PM followed by a 12PM service with Pastor John Perry Morgan, Jr. of Holy Trinity Church of God and Christ officiating.
